New Project: Resonance Audio Distro

Resonance Audio Distro is a new anarchist project that is recording and distributing anarchist and related texts and distributing them in audio form. The idea is that it will increase the availability of the texts and inspire lively anarchist discussions that “…lead us into the streets.”

There’s an impressive selection of audio zines available with classics like “A Day Mournful and Overcast” and “Passion for Freedom,” as well as more recent titles like “To Our Friends” and “Revolutionary Solidarity: A Critical Reader for Accomplices.” Each title is being posted on Archive.org in MP3 format along with printable versions of the texts being read.

Some suggestions from for how to use the audio zines include:

  • Put up fliers for a discussion group about one of the Audio Zines — this way you can meet other folks IRL who also want to fight authority.
  • Steal your time back from your boss by listening to Audio Zines while you’re at work.
  • Listen to an Audio Zine on a long car ride with friends and then discuss it afterward.
  • Break into the principal’s office and blast an Audio Zine over the intercom.

More titles are coming soon, and they encourage feedback and suggestions for future recordings.
